'True Blood' season 4, episode 8 recap: Don't bring a laser sight to a witch fight

Last week on "True Blood" : Tara gets conscripted in Martonia's plan to de-crypt the Bon Temps vampires.

Jessica isn't dead, of course. Jason comes out of the blinding sun and tackles Jessica to the ground and wraps her already-blistered body in the zebra-skin rug, but Jessica, being a ferocious vampire and all, is able to quickly turn the tables. With Jason below her, she bares her fangs. Just as she’s about to rip out his jugular, Martonia and her coven conclude their spell, or take a coffee break at least. Jessica comes to, and gives Jason a big kiss for saving her life. Then Jason grabs her, and they kiss some more. Bill is screaming for Jessica from the basement, and Jason carries Jessica downstairs, stepping around the dead body of Bucky. “Did I do that?” she asks? “You were not yourself,” Bill says, assuring her that his family will be well compensated. Never thought of it this way, but Bill’s insurance premiums must be through the roof. Bill tells her they’ve got to get Martonia back in a cell.

Because the vamps won’t be safe until nightfall, Jason tenderly lays the silver chains over Jessica’s neck. Bill nicely tells him to leave and let them regain their strength. As Jason looks at the body of Bucky, Bill tells him pointedly that he can’t afford to have this particular death documented, or Jessica’s role in Bucky’s death revealed. Jason agrees, and tells Bill he would like Bill to extend the same courtesy for the guard Jason shot outside.

The Shreveport packmaster Marcus is addressing his pack, Alcide and Debbie included. He says he wants nothing to do with the war between the witches and the vamps; the vamps are too powerful. One guy, later revealed to be Chuck, seems itching to bring the fight to the vamps, but the packmaster is firm -- they will remain neutral.

Sam turns up at Luna’s house. She is wary. He tells her he kicked Tommy out of his life. She’s still angry at Sam for not telling her Tommy was a skinwalker . Sam says he didn’t know, and tells her about Tommy killing his parents, and what a rough time he had growing up, but he says he can’t forgive Tommy for what he did to Luna. Luna’s daughter Emma bursts through the door, thrilled to see Sam, and drags him inside to play Barbie.

In Eric’s hidey hole, Sookie rips the silver from Eric’s neck. It hurts more than pulling off a Band-Aid … to put it mildly. He says he hasn’t eaten since devouring Claudine , and Sookie offers herself up, provided he doesn’t lose control. He tells her to have some silver handy. “I’m trusting you Eric," she says. Eric: “I won’t betray you, ever.” He feeds, then bites his palm and offers it up to her. “But I’m not injured,” she says. “We will be one,” he says. And she feeds. He seems to be enjoying it.

Add-A-Bead Charm Bracelets

Pandora and TrollBeads have created a new phenomenon in jewelry that includes a contemporary spin on the charm bracelet. TrollBeads is a brand name "add-a-bead" charm bracelet designed by Scandinavian artists using sterling silver and Murano glass beads. The silver beads are a collection of symbols and animals each with a meaningful story behind them. Each artist has there own bead that they've created using inspiration from mythological stories and fairy tales. The Murano beads are hand-blown genuine Murano glass - made by Italian craftsman. Pandora is similar in style and concept but places a bigger emphasis on the silver while TrollBeads has both sterling silver and glass to choose from.

These charm bracelets make wonderful gifts and most people buy one for themselves as well as for friends. The beauty of the jewelry is the ability to build bracelets together with friends and family, once built they look amazing and very fashionable.

Yellow Gold is on the Move

For years white gold and platinum have dominated jewelry fashion however, many jewelry designers are now showing new styles in yellow gold. This recent movement has been seen in styles created by Tacori and Simon G, most notably with Tacori's new yellow gold Medallion. This medallion has been voted the hottest new jewelry style by readers of various women's magazines. What we've seen is that women are now wearing yellow and white gold jewelry together and it seems to be quite fashionable. Look for two-tone bridal jewelry to make a comeback very soon as well.

Be a Star

Tiffany & Co. has been selling a diamond studded silhouette of a star and this necklace has created an interest in star jewelry. You'll notice many jewelry stores carrying similar stars in necklace, pendant, rings, and earrings. Most of these stars are basic but classy looking 5 point stars pave set or channel set with round diamonds or baguettes. Carat weights for these items normally range from .25ct to 1.50ct total diamond weight. These styles have been hitting the market since Summer of 2007 but you'll see many more variations as time goes on.
