Wearable Lab Coat TV Packs Thousands of LEDs

The Video Coat is a 160 by 120 pixel color LED display built using flex boards connected by flat flex cables. The display is split into clusters of three LED panels, and each display strip has four columns. The coat’s power is supplied by two 11.1-volt, 5 Amp-hour R/C LiPo packs that provide about an hour of operational time.

The video comes from a Video iPod (Classic, we’re guessing) connected to an RCA output. The shoulders of the coat are equipped with the video conversion circuitry--a Xilinx FPGA that converts the YCrCb signal from the TVP5154 video digitizer into four RGB serial data streams. On the left shoulder is a knob for adjusting the color and brightness, and for turning the picture to black & white.

Lab coats have been associated with medical professionals since scientists who did experiments first wore them. Lab coats are made of pure cotton or cotton polyester and are white in color. Lab coats are now available in different rich dark colors other than white like the shades of blue and grey. The most fashionable lab coats right now are the black lab coats. Black lab coats are available in short, elbow-length and long sleeves. Long sleeve lab coats can be used by both a man and a woman because of its style and quality. This type of lab coat is made of a resilient, easy fabric blended with 65% polyester and 35% cotton. The fabric used in this easy to wear and does not need to be ironed but still looks attractive. The length of the sleeve is up to the wrist covering most part of the arms. A long sleeve lab coat has two front pockets to hold phone and pagers and a breast pocket created to hold pens. The elbow-length lab coats illustrate the same characteristics of the long sleeves lab coats. The only difference is the three-fourth length of the sleeve. A short sleeve lab coat has sleeves up to a few inches below the armpit and the shoulders. It has a wide collar and a firm crisp that is made possible to wear one without exerting efforts on ironing. It only has two front pockets and is easy to fasten. If white represent cleanliness and simplicity, the color black present elegance, class and boldness. Black lab coats are not used by medical practitioners or scientists; they are worn by people working in the corporate market mostly by company executives. Black lab coats are more formal to look at than any other color when in administrative business meetings or during a product presentation in front of bosses. Students who are doing their theses defenses usually wear black lab coats on top of their casual outfit to look more presentable. College professors usually wear these coats to gain respect from students and their colleagues. Most number of people right now belonging to different jobs excluding those practice medicinal work tend to use black lab coats to be more confident. Any outfit worn with the right amount of confidence can make people be interested at the person.
